DID YOU KNOW!!!

Visually impaired people “read and write” by using a system called braille, that was developed by Louis Braille in 1821. Braille is a system of raised dots punched on special thick paper. Different arrangements of these dots make up letters and numbers. Blind people move their fingertips across the dots to read.

Early diagnosis of sight threatening eye conditions like cateracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, corneal diseases, retinal problems, tumours and detachments is VITALY important.

Prevent your loved ones from “reading” braille. Have their eyes examined annually.
